The mystery of the human psyche has been my lifelong passion, my exploration of it has occupied much of my adult life and looks set to continue to do so.

Graduating in 1981 with a 1st degree in Psychology, I spent many years exploring the myth and the reality of mental illness whilst working in therapeutic communities and day centres, providing individual and group support to staff and 'patients'. My training at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust culminated in becoming a diploma graduate in 1989.

There followed a brief sojourn into counselling in Education, before taking a break from working in institutions to concentrate on raising my two sons, and run a private counselling and training practise.

The beautiful Dorset coast drew me here in 2005, where I currently teach on the counselling training courses at Weymouth College and at the Shekinah School, and offer supervision for practitioners and private counselling.

Inevitably over the years, my personal and professional development trail has led me to experience many therapeutic approaches alongside Psychosynthesis, (Psychodynamic Psychology, Creative Groupwork, Psychodrama, Process-Orientated Psychology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Solution Focussed Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural therapy), all of which have contributed something to the person and practitioner I am today.

It is the Transpersonal approach that most informs my work though, because I find it to  be the richest, the best able to creatively and compassionately embrace the human condition.
